Senior Regional Controller

TIMEC Company, Inc. is seeking to place a Senior Regional Controller in our Billings, Montana, office to support our Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent Regions.

Position Description:
As a key role in the National Accounting team, the Sr. Regional Controller is responsible for total financial leadership of the geographic area, including the timely management and influence of cash, balance sheet and P&L information, monitoring internal controls and compliance within corporate policies and support field administration activities. This position works directly with the corporate office to ensure that adequate financial reporting is available to allow for the support and drive of the business, including proactive identification, communication and assistance with the remedy of potential risks and exposures.

Position Requirements:
In partnership with the senior Operations leadership, the Senior Regional Controller shall provide monthly summary analyses of the business and financial performance, including P&L information, manage the reconciliation of general ledger and balance sheet accounts within the Region(s), and lead the establishment and maintenance of internal financial controls within the Region. This individual is responsible for leading the month-end closing functions within the Region, preparing monthly corporate reporting packages, and managing all aspects of cash within the Region. This position leads the internal review reports related to Regional financial performance and initiates the required improvements, and reviews variances and anomalies in monthly results with senior Operations leadership and the Corporate Controller. Additional activities include assisting the Corporate Controller during external audits; managing the supervision, training and development of regional accounting and/or administrative staff; recommending improvements to accounting processes and controls; and other duties as assigned.

Education and Skill
Requirements: Must have flexibility with regard to working hours, strong written and oral communication skills are required, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Approximately 25% travel is required. Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting and CPA with 10 or more years of experience is preferred. Strong leadership skills, advanced knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, strong computer skills with advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work under strict deadlines are required. SAP experience is a strong plus.
