TIMEC renews five-year agreement with Chevron
La Porte, Texas – Wednesday, 07 October 2009TIMEC renewed its long-term agreement with energy producer Chevron for a further five years, effective October 1, 2009.
Under the contract, TIMEC will continue to provide Chevron with routine maintenance, turnaround and small capital works services, including catalyst handling, specialty welding and safety support services across its oil refineries in Pascagoula, MS; El Segundo, CA; Richmond, CA; Salt Lake City, UT and in Hawaii.
TIMEC has provided services to Chevron since 1971, always committed to providing safe, efficient services.
On September 15, 2009, TIMEC achieved its sixth consecutive year and more than 1.2 million work-hours at Chevron’s Salt Lake City facility without a recordable injury or lost time. TIMEC is recognized as an industry leader in safety and was awarded 31 National Petrochemical and Refiners Association (NPRA) Meritorious Safety Awards in May 2009 for its 2008 record, positioning it in the top one per cent of contractors for safety performance in the US refining market over the last 10 years.
