Drawing Competition

Who can enter?

The competition is open to the following age groups:

­          4-6 years of age

­          7-9 years of age

­          10-12 years of age

­          13-15 years of age

This year’s themes for the competition are:

­        Renewable Energy…
ideas: solar energy – solar panels, wind energy – wind farms, hydrogen energy - dams, biofuels – plant material and animal waste, geothermal energy – earth’s heat, reduce greenhouse gas emissions

­        Cycling Safety…
ideas: wear a helmet, use bicycle paths, obey roads rules, wear brightly coloured clothing, fit bicycle with lights for night riding, take a drink to reduce dehydration

­        Healthy Eating at Home…
ideas: food groups / pyramid, cooking / recipes, healthy snacks, meal times, portion control, disease prevention

Rules:

Applicants must be between the ages indicated.

­          Drawings are to be hand-drawn, on A4 paper (no computer generated drawings).

­          No more than 2 entries per child.

­          Drawings must include the Transfield Services logo.

­          Drawings must include a caption following the theme that has been established.  For example, “Keep your head – wear a helmet”.

­          All drawings to be submitted in landscape layout.

­          All drawings must be accompanied by the application form.

­          The judging panel will be formed by a team of Transfield Services staff.

­          The competition closes 5:00pm Friday, September 11, 2009– winners will be notified by mail.

­          The decision by the judging panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  No responsibility will be accepted for late, lost or misplaced mail and all drawings will remain property of Transfield Services (Australia) Pty Ltd.
