Our trajectory

Since its founding in 1971 in Bakersfield, CA, TIMEC has focused on delivering safe services to the process industry. TIMEC was incorporated in California in 1972. As interest in TIMEC’s reputation and capabilities grew, the headquarters were established in the San Francisco Bay area in 1972. The founding partners developed a relationship with the oil industry by ensuring that the company could manage and execute major projects. In the late 1980s and into the 1990s, TIMEC opened additional offices in California and Washington states. TIMEC began marketing and providing services in the Midwest and Gulf Coast areas in the late 1990s. Most recently, TIMEC established a Rocky Mountain division, with offices in three different cities.

In an effort to offer a full suite of services, TIMEC created its catalyst-handling division in the mid 1980s, followed by its specialty welding division in the early 1990s and its training and safety division in the late 1990s. In 2008, TIMEC incorporated its high-temperature repair and inspection services division.
